Up to three satellite speakers can be connected to the 8198 to reduce cabling, ports, and licensing costs while adding ease to the installation process.

Using the Algo 8198 IP PoE+ Ceiling Speaker with Algo 1198 Satellite Ceiling Speakers is a cost-efficient way to connect and supervise multiple speakers while reducing required network ports and cable drops. Since only one network drop is required, you can reduce labor costs.

POWER AND SUPERVISE UP TO 3 SATELLITE SPEAKERS

The Algo 8198 IP PoE+ Ceiling Speaker can be deployed as homerun IP speakers or in combination with satellite speakers. Satellite speakers can be connected by ethernet patch cable up to 50 ft long in a daisy chain fashion. This deployment option is ideal for hallway or classroom environments where speakers are clustered. In this case, the 8198 host speaker will split 16 W of power equally between the connected satellite speakers and use its builtin features, such as ambient noise detection, to manage the connected satellite speakers.

SIMPLIFY SPEAKER INSTALLATION

Less cabling means faster installation. When satellite speakers are connected to the Algo 8198 IP PoE+ Ceiling Speaker, you can automatically detect the connection status of each satellite speaker and continuously monitor activity.
